The Story of a Bipolar Bear.

“Everything you do is bipolar”

Many of my friends and family cannot distinguish what is NORMAL BEHAVIOR and which is symptoms of bipolar disorder.

There is a HUGE difference.

“Everyone is a bit bipolar”

Not everyone is a “bit” bipolar.

You can’t just be bits and pieces of an illness.

You need to have MAJORITY of the symptoms to be considered ill and extremely unstable.

What you think is “bipolar” might just be a NATURAL behavior that every 7 billion people on earth might have too.

That’s the problem with what people think mental illnesses are.

They believe what we go through is something almost everyone goes through, but we just take it to the “next” level.

I feel the stigma around mental illnesses is due to the lack of understanding between normal behavior and mental illness symptoms.

Having unstable mood swings during your period is normal.

Here is why:

We have around 4 main hormones playing a part during our period:

LH, FSH, estrogen, and Progesterone.

The reason why you’re moody is due to estrogen and progesterone.

Before your period, your progesterone levels increase, which triggers a uplifting mood, or can cause PMS, which can cause depression etc. During your period, your progesterone and estrogen levels are rather low, which causes a sluggish feeling.

Then your levels of progesterone and estrogen begin to increase etc..change of mood.

Please correct me if I’m wrong, I am remembering this from memory.

So the change of estrogen and progesterone levels are the reason why you can go from a high level to a low level and this is until menupause.

The process that goes through every month.

So it not bipolar disorder, but your natural hormones.

Also, everyone gets irritated very quickly.

We’re only human, we get pissed off sometimes.

People with bipolar disorder have extreme unstable moods everyday, every second.

It affects MEN too!

And Men don’t go through the monthly occurrence.

It’s a psychological disorder.

It’s a disorder that eats us alive and far worse than just some moody behavior you have for a week or so.

Sincerely,

bipolar bear.
